Welder/Fabricator – Build the Backbone of Carbon Conversion Systems

Location: Franklin, TN (On-Site)
Type: Full-Time
Seniority: Skilled Trades

Join Enexor BioEnergy

Enexor is a venture-backed climate tech company just outside Nashville, TN, building modular systems that convert waste into renewable energy and carbon-negative outputs. We’re hands-on, hardware-first, and mission-driven—engineering real solutions to real-world problems.

Why This Role Matters

Our systems only work if they're built right. As a Welder/Fabricator, you’ll ensure that all fabricated assemblies meet spec, withstand pressure, and hold up in the field. This critical shop-floor work directly supports system performance, safety, and scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and other metal components using GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG processes
  • Fit-up and fabricate pipe, tubing, and assemblies per drawings and tolerances
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and process specs
  • Prep materials—cutting, beveling, and cleaning to ensure proper fit and weld integrity
  • Operate standard fab shop tools: saws, grinders, drills, fixtures
  • Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and documentation
  • Assist with job staging, material handling, and movement of parts using forklift/mobile equipment
  • Provide feedback on design for manufacturability and propose process improvements
  • Support a wide range of business needs beyond fabrication, assisting cross-functional teams with prototyping, assembly, testing, and general operations as required to meet project and organizational goals.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with team members, engineers, and leadership to share progress, flag issues early, provide solutions, and keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support extended work hours or workweeks as needed to meet critical project deadlines or business priorities.
  • Support and mentor junior fabricators; be a go-to technical resource

Requirements

  • What We’re Looking For
    • 5–10+ years of welding experience, focused on stainless steel and high-spec hardware
    • High proficiency in TIG welding thin-wall pipe and structural elements
    • Comfort with MIG processes and multi-pass welding
    • Strong blueprint reading and fit-up skills
    • Attention to detail and pride in clean, consistent welds
    • Willingness to take feedback and adapt to a high-performance team culture
    • Availability for overtime and occasional weekend work (7:00 am–3:30 pm core hours)
    • U.S.-based only. No relocation assistance
  • Bonus Points For
    • Experience with Inconel or pressure-rated weldments
    • Experience with laser welding (wire and fusion) and similar productivity improvement processes
    • Background in energy, emissions, or industrial gas systems
    • Familiarity with lean fabrication and continuous improvement
  • Why You’ll Love It Here
    • Mission with urgency
    • Flat org, fast decisions
    • Equity upside in a growing climate tech startup
    • Hands-on, real-world product work
