Job Title: Ballet Studio Administrator (Part-Time)
Join the Queen City Ballet Family as our Ballet Studio Administrator! Queen City Ballet is seeking a loyal, intelligent, and independent Administrative Assistant to join our team and help support the magic that happens on and off the stage.
As our Ballet Studio Administrator, you will be the heart behind the desk—serving as the friendly face and steady hand that keeps the studio running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for a wide variety of administrative and customer service tasks, all while supporting our faculty, dancers, and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Maintain accurate and organized records, both physical and digital
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
- Handle registration, billing, communications, and scheduling with accuracy and efficiency
- Selling of merchandise and maintaining knowledge of merchandise to effectively sell and answer client questions
- Utilize computer skills for tasks such as data entry, scanning, and emailing
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks
- Manage studio calendars and maintain organization of the front office and studio supplies
- Anticipate needs, solve problems, and take initiative to keep things flowing behind the scenes
- Uphold a high level of confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of studio life
- Basic studio cleaning
Ideal Qualities:
- Friendly, approachable, and genuinely excited to be part of the Queen City Ballet
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and efficiently while managing multiple tasks
- Experience with telephone etiquette and basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; Basic Bookkeeping skills preferred and Quickbooks experience is a plus
- Technologically confident and quick to learn studio software and systems
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others
- A natural communicator—both in writing and in person—with a calm, reassuring presence
- Ability to follow directions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Prior experience in education, customer service, or office management preferred
Position Details:
Monday through Friday, from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM during the academic school year (Sept-May). Summer months require morning hours generally 8:00 AM-1:30 PM.
Weekly Hours: 20-30 hours per week.
Some weekend and evening hours during performance seasons.
Salary based on experience. Starting at $11.00-$18.00 per/hour based on experience.
