Job Title: Assembler
Job Description

The Assembler plays a key role in building mechanical and electrical components, wire harnesses, cable systems, and control units by following established work instructions, drawings, and blueprints. This entry-level role focuses on hands-on, repetitive production tasks that require accuracy, cleanliness, and attention to detail while supporting overall production goals and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clip pins, connectors, and fasteners to the correct specifications using approved hand tools.
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components and harnesses according to work instructions and drawings.
  • Support the assembly of wire harnesses, cable systems, and other control units following standard procedures.
  • Assist with wire harness assembly and frame line building for square motors and related assemblies.
  • Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and blueprints to complete assembly tasks accurately.
  • Use appropriate hand tools such as torque drivers and electric low-power screwdrivers during assembly.
  • Perform basic electronic assembly and wiring tasks, including soldering where required.
  • Log all work activities accurately, including part numbers, work orders, and quantities, using data entry tools such as Excel.
  • Follow written and manual instructions precisely to ensure consistent and high-quality output.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and foreign object debris (FOD)-free work area by following clean-as-you-go practices.
  • Adhere to all established safety, quality, and procedural requirements at all times.
  • Use small tools frequently and handle components with care to avoid damage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and team goals.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail in hands-on assembly work.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Basic proficiency in electronic assembly, wiring, and wire harness assembly.
  • Experience using hand tools such as torque drivers and electric low-power screwdrivers.
  • Capability to perform soldering tasks for electronic assembly when required.
  • Basic data entry skills, including entering information into Excel or similar tools.
  • Willingness to learn and consistently adhere to established quality standards.
  • Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely as part of daily tasks.
  • Comfort with frequent use of hands and small tools in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Preferred: At least 6 months of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with basic assembly techniques and standard hand tools.
  • Experience working with cable assembly, wire harnesses, and frame line building for motors.
  • Exposure to electronics production or electronic assembly environments.
  • Ability to interpret simple schematics related to wiring or electronic components.
  • Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
  • Strong sense of organization and cleanliness in the work area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
